Vegan Cheese

Vegan Cheese.

Nutrition Information Per Serving:

1 1/2 cups water
5 Tbsp. agar flakes
1/3 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. tahini
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/4 tsp. salt 

Cooking spray a rounded-bottomed glass or plastic bowl. Place aside. In a saucepan, bring water and agar flakes to a boil. Simmer over a low heat for about 5 minutes to ensure a homogeneous mixture. In a food processor, combine the dissolved agar and the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Transfer the finished mixture to the cooking-spray-coated glass bowl and store it in the refrigerator, uncovered, for up to 5 days.

Tips:

Vegan cheese can be used to make grilled cheese sandwiches or vegan pizza.
Optionally, fresh ground pepper can be added.
When following a dairy-free diet, you can substitute Sheese, soy cheese, or even nut-based cheeses.
